One of Tony's great innovations is the painting of birds and sea scenes using gouache paints onto locally sourced beuatiful pebbles from the South-of-England beaches.

that make highly imaginative and wonderful gifts for friends and family.
Tony Brooks landscapes are to be seen regularly displayed in shops throughout Hythe and the surrounding areas. Tony also runs a local camera club which is a great source of research material for his paintings. Specialising in watercolours Tony's fast and loose techniques capture the changing seasons of the Kent coastline throughout the year.
Tony Brooks prefers to paint from outdoor studies. Although his studio is in Hythe in Kent, many a freindly tourist off sight-seeing has stumbled across the artist feverishly capturing a transcient cloud scene or recording a passing fishing boat. The local flavour of the Kent coastline is in safe hands.
Tony Brooks also paints the local fisherman of Hythe in Kent. Many of Tony's lighthearted compositions, much approved of by the fishermen themselves, are bought as treasures and momentoes by the locals. Tony's cartoon style for these cameos is reminiscent of L S Lowry thereby creating a flavour of the locality with line and colour.
